Lab-Grown Sapphire
Sapphire is celebrated for its celestial blues, but laboratory cultivation also unlocks an entire rainbow – from soft pinks and sunny yellows to vivid oranges and deep teals. Sapphire is corundum, second only to diamond in hardness (9 on the Mohs scale), making it an excellent choice for everyday-wear jewelry. We select sapphires for their rich, even color and exceptional clarity, often seeking the velvety "cornflower" blue or the delicate blush of a padparadscha-inspired pink.
Lab-Grown Ruby
Ruby, also corundum, has been revered for millennia as the stone of passion and protection. Lab-grown rubies offer the same intense red fluorescence that makes the gemstone so mesmerizing. Our rubies are chosen for their "pigeon blood" red undertones and exceptional transparency, ensuring they glow with the inner fire that defines a truly fine stone.
Lab-Grown Emerald
Emerald is the most famous member of the beryl family, prized for its lush, verdant green. Mined emeralds often contain visible inclusions, known as jardin. Lab-grown emeralds can achieve remarkable clarity while maintaining the characteristic rich green that makes this gemstone so desirable. We look for stones with a vivid, slightly bluish-green hue and a luminosity that seems to hold light within the gem.
How Lab-Grown Gemstones Are Made
Similar to diamonds, colored gemstones are created through processes that mirror nature:
Flame Fusion & Czochralski Method: Used for corundum (sapphire and ruby), these methods produce large, high-purity crystals ideal for cutting.
Hydrothermal & Flux Growth: Used for emerald, these processes replicate the conditions of natural emerald formation in mineral-rich solutions, resulting in stones with exceptional clarity and color.
